Netflix blows away new subscriber expectations

Netflix reported its Q1 2020 earnings after the bell on Tuesday.
The company showed a huge uptick in new subscribers, which it attributed to people staying at home due to the coronavirus pandemic.
CEO Reed Hastings also praised rival Disney’s execution in launching its new streaming service, Disney+, last fall.

Russia tests anti-satellite missile, US general says

Russia tested an anti-satellite missile that is capable of destroying satellites in low Earth orbit, U.S. Space Command said on Wednesday.
The Pentagon said it is tracking the test.
“Yet another example that the threats to U.S. and allied space systems are real, serious and growing,” Gen. John Raymond, commander of U.S. Space Command, said in a statement.
