Russia tests anti-satellite missile, US general says

Russia tested an anti-satellite missile that is capable of destroying satellites in low Earth orbit, U.S. Space Command said on Wednesday.
The Pentagon said it is tracking the test.
“Yet another example that the threats to U.S. and allied space systems are real, serious and growing,” Gen. John Raymond, commander of U.S. Space Command, said in a statement.

“We’re in an early stage of engagement, but I can assure you that we will act very quickly as requests come,” Georgieva said.
There are more than 90,000 confirmed cases of the coronavirus around the world, and the outbreak has spread to six continents.
