Thryv and Google are working together to improve communication for small businesses

Thryv Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:THRY), which makes a small business platform for growing small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), is happy to announce a new integration with Google’s Business Messages. This will help small businesses that are getting more and more ways for customers to contact them to communicate more easily.

Thryv is a partner of Google’s Business Messages, a mobile conversational channel that combines Google Maps, Search, and brand websites to create rich, asynchronous messaging experiences.

Google’s Business Messages works with Thryv’s real-time, centralised inbox, which was released last year. This lets businesses communicate in a single thread instead of relying on small bits of information in different apps.

Ryan Cantor, Chief Product Officer at Thryv, said, “The rapid growth of communication technologies has helped usher in a new era of customer service communication. But these improvements only help businesses with strong customer service teams that are always available. Local service-based businesses, like a local roofing company, may not be able to respond to web chat messages quickly enough to keep customers happy if they’re on the roof. The fact that Thryv works with Google’s Business Messages means that even small businesses can take advantage of these improvements. These local businesses don’t have to choose between losing money and still being able to run their business. Small business cloud adoption will still be a big deal in the 2020s, and we’ll be there with product updates to help our small business customers.”

Moving Markets

Businesses now have more ways to talk to each other than ever before, thanks to the rise of messaging platforms. Small business owners are being pushed to use these new tools or risk losing customers.

The new normal is to send messages to businesses.

A 2020 Juniper Research study found that by the end of that year, there would be 2.7 trillion mobile business messages sent around the world. This is a 10 percent increase from the year before.

Companies with customer service available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week are built to win in a fast-paced market, but small businesses are offline more often than they are online. Thryv’s newest integration makes sure that businesses don’t miss out on important communications. Thryv has automation features that make it easy for businesses to respond quickly to customers and keep track of their conversations.
